Its been a long time since my family and i got together for a holiday, so the trip to rhedang was something that i was really looking forward to. White sandy beaches, clear blue ocean, the wind blowing in your face, colourful fishes i mean it doesn’t get any better than that. Owh yeah there was also a kareoke bar near the restaurant, how cool is that huh. Yeah the fascilities were quite old and the my siblings were constantly complaining about how “dirty” the place was, but all in all it was a good time spent with family, and i guess no amount of money can buy that. My personal favourite was snorkelling in the coral reefs, yes to my fellow A07B classmates; gua dah snorkelling beb, ingat kat tioman je ke boleh snorkelling hahahaha.
One of the most memorable experience whilst in Rhedang was my sis, liltle brother and my dad and me playing around the shore of the beach. We play this game where we pick a letter and then in turns we think of a word that starts with that letter. Sounds simple and boring i know but it was actually quite fun and challenging. It turns out that amongst all of us my lil brother who’s about 12 years old has quite a large stock of vocabulary, he was very quick in giving out thwords. Well i guess that’s what playing computer games does to you hehe.
Anyways while we were playing the “word game”, dad suddenly poped out the question;
Ayah: hey when are you guys gonna get married
Sis: gee, ayah i dunno im still in sekolah menengah im not thinking bout stuff like that.
Ayah: yalah, i guess so. you abang?
Jang: hehe dunno maybe 25-27. hey ayah can i ask you something?
Ayah: yeah sure
Jang: lets say if i meet a nice girl when i go overseas, umm is it okay if i kahwin kat UK?
Ayah: haha i guess its alright. As long as ayah and mummy dah kenal with the girl and that she’s suitable then why not. we can just fly there for your wedding kan.
Sis: Ceh knowing abang, its going to be some japanese or korean chick!
Jang: come on la sure la going to be Malay. but then again u never know kan hahah
Ayah: It doesn’t matter la malay ke chinese ke jawa like ayah ke heheh as long as she’s a good muslim then ayah have no objections. tapi kalau Malay bagus juga….
Haha never thought that my dad would be that open minded about marriage. Tapi jodoh sume tu tentuan Allah, kite cume boleh usaha saje, yg penting my parents dah kasi green light concerning it
but there is a problem though,
Sis: but what if abang doesn’t find a nice girl in UK?
Jang: what u mean don’t find? sure find one la…..
Ayah: don’t worry if abang don’t find then ayah will find for him hahaha
Jang: dang Iman, why’d u have to have such a big mouth!!!
wow, mantap!
