“Behind every person is a teacher.” Said a good friend of mine and I have to say that his words almost reduced me to tears today, what’s more with the setting and the slow music playing in the background. You can feel the intensity of the moment, the overflowing emotions of both parties; the teachers and the students. Before you can say “arigatou”, the sound of sniffling mucus and the sight of wet cheeks filled the hall to the brim. Yup, this was the scene during KMB’s teacher’s day. It was a really touching moment for everyone and who can blame them.
After two years spent in KMB and with IB finals just few days away, you can’t help but to feel a great sense of gratitude for the dedicated and caring teachers who have been together with us through thick and thin for the past two years. It’s amazing how at first two years seemed like such a long time but now at the very end it seemed as if it was just yesterday that I registered into KMB. Living and studying IB in KMB is a real “torture“ but what made it feel less painful and bearable is the teachers and people in KMB, I guess that’s why KMB produces some of the best IB students in the world J
To the teachers that I’ve had the pleasure to be a student to, I’d like to express my sincerest gratitude for all that you’ve done for my classmates and me. Thank you for putting up with our sometimes lazy attitude, or lack of seriousness in class, our tardiness and all of our other wrong doings. Truthfully we did not wish to hurt you in anyway, perhaps it was the foolishness of youth that has led us to doing such things, and we apologize immensely.
KMB truly has wonderful teachers and staff. The teachers are like our parents, always looking after us and making sure that we’re alright. Never tired in nurturing their students and giving advice on academic and other personal matters. They are like our buddies, who we can joke together and have a real good time with, or even a shoulder to cry on when things get tough. They are ORDINARY people with an EXTRAORDINARY heart. I salute all the teachers in KMB and for that matter all the teachers in the world, for their dedication, perseverance, care and love towards their students.
For my teachers,
Thank you very much, no words are able to describe the feeling I have right now and the tears that are flowing are proof of my feelings to you. I have no expensive gifts to offer you for all the priceless things that you’ve given me, all I have to offer is my promise that I’ll do my very best for my future and that I’ll always pray for you and remember you as long as I live. I know that I may not show my feelings to you unlike the others but sincerely from the bottom of my heart, thank you and I love you teacher. May Allah bless you always.
